Man...... I am chatting with Bunkus on MSN right now, listening to radio.kailef.com and thrashing my head around from side to side at how glorious this is.

This is like the ultimate wedding night karaoke music...... oh dear lord.... its like the eighties epic-ness mixed with face-melting metal...

I am really loving doing this. I really love this style of music, and, by the way, in my younger days I was a DJ. I'm thinking of getting a studio mic and perhaps once a week hosting a live show rather than using playlists which is what I'm doing now. :-)

I'm very encouraged to hear that a number of you are enjoying it. The "Epic Rock Radio" name is good, by the way, and I'll try and build off of that.

Got a few questions:

Do you guys like it better when I fully randomize the playlists, or play full albums in sequential order?

Also, how do you like the sound quality? I'm running, as I said, 64k instead of 128k.

I'm going to code a homepage for the station... Sadly, with Mutius going to be away from the Internet for a little while I won't be able to enlist his assistance is creating a logo.

I like a random playlist...feels more like a radio station. Sound quality is fine as is. One suggestion, though. Can you setup a link on the Links page? That would make it easy for me (us) to get to.

Okay, I spent a quick 15 minutes on the site. It's still completely crappy, but it beats the black and white disaster I had there earlier. What do you think? Should I keep that general color scheme and such? (I hate colors since I can't see them. It's all shades of grey with yellow links right now)

Okay, everybody, Mutius and I just finished up the "Epic Rock Radio" website. As usual, Mutius was in charge of graphics and color matching, and I did the site layout and coding. Used PHP for the first time to generate the now playing / recently played list, too.

Have a look at it, and tell us what you think!

If anyone ever gets a message that says the server is full, let me know and I'll buy a little more bandwidth. I can add 10 more concurrent users for five dollars a month - It's cheap. :-)

Does Ventrilo work off a RFP or other public spec? I see they have a Mac client in the works, but I gather they've been saying that for awhile now.
