In the many Griffon rides you took during open beta did you notice the encampment nestled in the mountaintops East of Ironforge.  The camp had a Griffon roost and an entrance that looked a lot like the gates from Lock Modan to Dun Morogh.  I never found a way to get up there……any one else have a clue?

I wonder if that would be the locked gate out of Dun Morogh, It is probably only available as a quest.

Good question A1.  I went to that gate to try a golden skeleton key.  It did not work.  But I think that gate is the only way into the "Searing Gorge" region, level 43 - 50.

Bet you didn't get very far.  The latency was an aveage 580 for me in the test server #7.  I the flight was not in good details for me.  I miss most of the details in flight.  Most offen or not, when I fly, I goto Bio and come back to find that my landing is laggin, and still have to wait a min to let system catch-up with each other.  This happens most in IF and SW.  The small towns were not so bad.

But good eye to catch that A1.

Hehehehe, hahahaha, Muwhahahaha.

If you look at the bottom right corner of this map I think you will see the area you are alluding to. There is a similar area outside of Teldrassil. The area outside of Teldrassil is the quest area where Druids get to earn Bear form. I would bet this is a similar quest area that you are portaled to when you get the quest. This is the only way you can get to the area outside of Teldrassil. Kaldoran was there and asked don and I if we could help him. We followed his marker to the edge of the world and could see the area on the mini map but could not find a way to get there.

[Edit]Sorry that is a picture of the world not a playable area. But it is a nice map, too bad their labeling system isn't working. Their maps are not complete yet but it is a good way to guage the area difficulty levels.
