I'm uncertain of what "BTDubs" means.  Ah.  It's slang for by the way.  Got it.  Yeah, it's an easy run from Beran's Reach to Brittany.  It does cover some ground to be sure, but it's a straight run without having to go through any passes or navigate anything weird.  It only takes a minute to make the run as I recall.

As far as what I like about the game - I really enjoy the housing and player towns.  Seeing the various communities come together and build amazing things far beyond what the developers of the game even intended to be possible is really awesome.  The tools for building towns and the impetus for people to work together is really strong, and it's something that I've really been missing in my gaming as of late.

You can port to your bind point with a recall scroll, and you can port to any player you want that's on your friends list with a teleport scroll, and both are fairly easy to craft/buy, so I don't have too much trouble with navigation.  Of course when I packed up and moved my 1500 pounds worth of crap from one location to another, that took a while to hoof, but it still wasn't that bad.

Ah if i recall, I was your lackey for the day.  Weve set to building the guildhall, so looking forward to everyone else joining!

BTDubs = By The Way

Flamethrowers are proof that somewhere, sometime, someone thought to themselves "You see those people over there? I sure would like to set them on fire, I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

Here's a link to a photo album containing some screenshots of my character in front of his airship and his keep.

Nice.

I am lost. I have gone to look for myself. If I return before I get back, please ask me to wait.

PIF's main facility is really working out to be a pretty impressive place.  Besides two small castles and a giant airship, we have a huge outdoor pavilion equipped with all of the ten crafting stations (expert level, so they provide better bonuses), a large greenhouse for growing food and magic reagents, a dedicated training floor with working practice dummies (although we haven't crafted those quite yet) and a variety of social settings such as a common area with dining tables and a stage, and a variety of vendors.

Hey, Kai -

If someone wanted to get the village lot or the city lot to the south of your edifice, could someone just waltz up and claim it, or do you have to get permission from the town owner?

In an NPC town, anyone with a valid lot deed for the size of the lot they want to claim can walk up and claim it.

In a Player-Owned town such as Beran's Reach, the rules are pretty much up to the owner of the town.  From a game mechanics standpoint, if a lot is marked as open and unclaimed you can just walk up and claim it with a valid deed.  For Beran's Reach specifically, you go to http://www.thebeartavern.org/home and sign up, and then from the drop down menu at the top of the screen you select "Community" menu and then from the drop down that appears, "Community: House and Plot Citizenship".  Then one would get approved, the lot you want will be unlocked (if it's currently locked) and you can claim it with a deed.

Okay, so clearly one of those old Warcraft sig sites has taken a nose dive, because man, those sigs really suck right now.  Heh.

Anyhow, we got a lot that's double the size of our old lot assigned to us, so now we're rebuilding the airbase, and I don' t have enough raw materials to do it!  I need wood and stone if any of you are playing and want to help.  I put a "donation cabinet" in front of the airship that you can put raw materials in.  :-)
