I haven't played Starcraft in years.  Does anyone else here still play it at all?  I don't even think I have it installed any more.

I have the Starcraft Battle Chest which I have yet to play through. It'd give me an excuse to install and play it. I also play Age of Empires 3 in regard to RTS games. AOE3 still has online servers up and the Steam version and original disc version both work.

I have SC installed and would play if there was a group wanting to do so. I can't promise to be any good though...

Are we talking Starcraft, or Starcraft 2?

I've purchased both, and theoretically have both around here.... somewhere... I think.

I have never actually played.  Is there a demo?  And more importantly, is there a way to keep Demand and Teddle from mopping the floor with me?

I know that Blizzard used to have a "starter edition" of Starcraft II that you could download and play for free.  Lemme see...

Yup, they still have it:

https://us.battle.net/account/sc2/starter-edition/

It says you can do the first five single player missions, plus multiplayer.

I only have Starcraft 1. I didn't know about the free Starcraft 2 Starter Edition, which from some research Blizzard has now removed some of the previous restrictions for multiplayer (only starter maps and only terran race). Looks like I have a new game to install.

As for promising not to mop the floor with Stale ... I only promise to use fresh water.

We are talking about playing the Starter Edition to kill time, right?
