You know, I played this for a few months or so early on after it was originally released   My general slant towards not enjoying PvP very much kind of made me not like the game after the beginning levels.  As far as a PvP MMO goes, though, this was definitely among the best I'd played.

DAoC was the only game so far where I actually enjoyed PvP.  They had that level-restricted battleground, and once you had a max character you could create an automatic level 20 toon, so the 20-24 battleground was a heck of a lot of fun, you could try every character very easily, and it was highly competetive.  Plus I made a lot of cash selling optimized weapons for L20's.  Didn't hurt that my house was right next to the house of the biggest guild on the server.  Location, location, location.

Was it my first go-round with WoW, before PIF, that took me away from DAoC? I forget. Fun times, though.
